We’ve been very busy in the Lava Lamp Lounge, trying to keep up with everything that has been (and will be) happening, regarding various things happening on our show. As my mind is solidly fixed on The Blast Off show happening this weekend, I offer another “Jukebox” show, featuring music I love, music connected to the show this weekend, and a few “sneak peeks” at the sounds my new trio – Tech Death Radio – has been cookin’ up.
While I try not to dwell on nostalgia when I can avoid it, there is something about playing and hearing certain songs in this mix that absolutely put in in different times and places. But there’s a secondary function here, too: getting my mind right, so I can focus on the show coming up. To help feed that need, I play a few samples of music from people playing the show this weekend.
It’s a strangely personal show this week, with a lot of sounds that have been pleasing me, and stuck in my head, too. Maybe we’ll all benefit from this week’s earworms…
