Dimestore Radio Theater Halloween Spook-tacular 2026! (Part 5)

WFMU Playlist & Listener Comments

It’s our final Spooktacular this year, and we close things out on the “All Souls Day” with further installments of our Holiday programs. We begin with an Edgar Allen Poe story adapted for The Weird Circle, with “William Wilson,” about a college student who meets another student with the same name, and who seems to pop up and the most interesting times in William’s life. So what happens when the finally confront each other? Then, on The Price of Fear, we meet one of Vincent’s friends who had gotten married and now has a son. But there seems to be a problem with three of them, that culminates in an event on “Guy Fawkes Night.”

After some Dimestore Revelations and another installment of, “The Golden Age of Science Fiction,” we bring you, The Strange Dr. Weird, and their story, “Beauty And The Beast.” It appears that a young woman, Kathy, is being help by a toxic, and possibly murderous husband. But could there be something more happening, under the surface? We close with our final horror of the season, Quiet, Please, about a man who seems to be haunted by something that isn’t ghosts, specters, or monsters, but simply a recurring numerological experience involving the number, “Three.”
