It’s Labor Day here in the Lava Lamp Lounge, and that means that the Dimestore Staff are enjoying the day off, while we listen to some “Movies On The Radio,” in our “Day-And-Date” style. Here are two broadcasts, both originally aired on September 7th, both from deep in our radio history.

First, it’s a Lux Radio Theater presentation of the lost 1927 film, “Is Zat So?” A tale of a scrappy boxer, and his manager, who wind up working temporarily for the brother of a woman who is getting married to a terrible man. Can our crew of wealthy and steet-smart ne’er do wells settle both romance as well as their boxing matches, with equal comedy and sportsmanship?

Next up, we offer an installment of The CBS Radio Master Theater, with their story, “Killer’s Helper.” Moving up in the company often means that you’ll be spending time with the boss, but when the bosses wife asks you to help her kill him, to really give you a leg up, how far will you go to secure your future in the company?
