Towers & DEAD, Live!

On the 24th of August, I joined Miss Rikki Lee of Closet Radio to put on an incredible metal double-feature in the KPSU studios.  Towers & DEAD, on tour supporting the release of DEAD’s new album, Idiots, decided to come on in to put on live performances for discerning radio listeners.  The good news: you get to enjoy these performances, too, here, NOW!

To kick things off, Towers stepped up to lay down a nice, sludgy base for this epic radio event.  Mining a decidedly psychedelic vein of stoner metal, Towers lay down loud piles of thick riffs and pounding percussion.  These guys were a pleasure to watch play, and I can’t wait until the video is ready.  In the meantime, enjoy this recording.

Then, stay tuned for a live set my Australia’s DEAD, on tour and ready to bring the rock.  It’s hard to know what’s more impressive about the duo, but the way they lock into each other and bring incredible performances is probably the most important in their case.  These guys are ready to bring the noise, and they do it quite excellently.  This will give you a taste of the kind of rock they are so eager to bring.

For this show, we are in the KPSU studios, and Miss Rikki is hosting, and doing a fine job of it, too.  After these guys packed up, we continued to bring you an incredible episode of Closet Radio, which should be available to download soon.  In the meantime, you can enjoy this excellent metal show.  These guys are all excellent, and you owe it to yourself to reap the awesomness they sew.
