Dia De Los Muertos 2013 Part I: Metanoia, LIVE!
(Featuring a live performance by Metanoia on 1 November 2013 at The World Famous Kenton Club. )

After a full month of Halloween Spook-taculars, sometimes it is hard to come back to the radio wellspring and find something left to bring to the listeners.  However, we decided to push past that, and instead bring you a three-hour Day of The Dead celebration, the likes of which you’ve never heard (nor seen) before!  Prepare yourself for Part I of Dia De Los Muertos 2013 with none other than Metanoia, Live!

Celebrating both the holiday and their new release, Metanoiathe performance is incomplete in a merely audio form.  Their set included dancers performing rites and rituals in the audience, a massive amount of fog and incense throughout the club, and some of the heaviest holiday drones you’ve ever heard.  The video below barely does it justice, but you can get a sense of what it was like through this sample below.  Make sure to turn it up almost as loud as your stereo can go for this one.  (Works best on a Sunday morning.)

Metanoia kicked things off for what wound up being a four-band bill that really set the mood for the Day of The Dead.  I wanna thank J.D. of Metanoia for helping make this recording possible, and Jonathan Boober (of Please Remain Seated) for being amazing.

Stay tuned for Part II, which contains performances by Valkyrie Rodeo, The Hands That Bleed, Al-X, and Part III, filmed the following day at Slim’s, with Blanco & Audios Amigos!

Enjoy!
